4 Currently craving: Animal style double double (protein style because how else am I gonna stay skinny) with a root beer
5 Currently reading: A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara (this book is so slow and definitely not worth the hype)
I never planned on stepping foor in the world of design. In high school, I needed an art elective credit and took a beginner graphic design class. Seven years later, I’ve completely pivoted my career path from music to creative strategy—and I haven’t looked back since.
But in hindsight, creativity was always in my DNA. As a kid, I was fascinated by photography, fashion, interior design, and architecture. I was the kind of child who spent afternoons creating my own fashion shows and filming my own music videos, forcing my younger sister to be my ‘muse’. Those early experiences shaped the way I see design—not just as an aesthetic practice but as a tool for storytelling, problem-solving, and building meaningful connections.
Originally from Bend, Oregon, I grew up immersed in the outdoors, where organic shapes, patterns, and textures fueled my creative perspective. I’m drawn to design that feels intuitive yet intentional. This balance between structure and spontaneity continues to influence my work, whether in branding, logo design, or creative direction.
My college journey has been anything but linear. After navigating academic shifts, industry experience, and creative exploration, I’ve refined my focus and ambition. At Chapman University, I’ve had the opportunity to experiment with branding, publication design, content strategy, and market research, gaining hands-on experience in both creative and analytical roles. Along the way, I discovered a passion for advertising, brand storytelling, and consumer insights, which now fuels my career goal of becoming a Creative Director.
Graphic design has shown me that visual language is everywhere—and that I have the power to shape it. I’m always looking for the next challenge, the next campaign, the next opportunity to create something that resonates. If my younger self could see where I am now, he’d probably be stunned—but also excited to see what’s next.
